The Galax Old Fiddlers Convention : 
The Galax Fiddlers Convention is one of the oldest and largest
Fiddlers Conventions in the world. People travel from all over the
world to take a part in this historic annual event.  If you are a fan

Labor Day Gun Show and Flea Market :
The streets of Hillsville come alive every Labor Day Weekend
when the annual Gun Show and Flea Market comes to town.
Sponsored by VFW Post 1115, it all started as a small fund raiser
in the VFW parking lot but has since spilled over onto the streets
of Hillsville and became one of the largest Flea Markets in the
Southeast!  Come and experience four days of collecting, trading,
and buying on the streets of Hillsville!  The event starts on Friday
and lasts through Monday. (Labor Day) For more information, please

Wayne C. Henderson Music Festival 
and Guitar Competition :  
Grayson Highlands State Park is the setting for this event which
takes place the third Saturday in June.  The scenery is beautiful
and the music is great as pickers come from all around for a shot at
a famous Henderson hand crafted guitar.  Besides the competition,
there is live music which includes Wayne Henderson and Friends as
well as other groups to be announced.  For more information, please

Fourth of July Celebration :
This event is only a few years old but growing bigger and better every
year. It happens on the streets of Hillsville and kicks off with a parade
and then features live music, a horseshoe tournament, food and
fireworks!  The event is sponsored by the Town of Hillsville with the
music being held behind the historic Carroll County Courthouse.
